The centre is being operated in a space provided free of cost by Shree Tapovan Brahmacharya Ashram (Nashik) in a building complex situated at Adgaon Naka, Nashik.
We now run shelter homes, schools and a reasonable mess that helps such needy young people. We also have our helpline offices spread throughout the country so one can approach us anytime they need help.

History

The trust was setup in 2007 with the intention of supporting Kidney failure patients by providing subsidized dialysis consumables, monetary aid and counselling. Dialysis consumables were provided at 30% of market prices to patients undergoing dialysis all across Nashik district and beyond.

In 2013, the trust setup its’ own Dialysis centre with 4 Haemo-dialysis machines and support equipment. The space for this centre was provided free of cost by Shree Tapovan Brahmacharya Ashram. The capital investment for the machines, equipment etc. as well as the initial startup expenses were met through charitable donations received from large hearted individual donors.

A fixed charge of INR 350 per dialysis session was charged from patients to meet the operational expenses partly. This was nominal compared to INR 1200 – 3000 charged by govt. and private hospitals. This was increased to INR 400 due to increasing costs.

Vocational training for dialysis technicians was also added to the list of activities to ensure availability of trained staff for the centre.

Plans for the Future:

It is proposed to set up a full fledged nephrology hospital with all required facilities available inhouse. The hospital shall be NABH accredited and provide high quality medical care without the burden of high costs associated with private medical care centres. The facility is proposed to be setup in 3 phases to balance patient needs and available monetary and management strength.

The trust is seeking donors with a suitable piece of land or funds to purchase such land to build this hospital. The cost of setting up the hospital is proposed to be met through donations to avoid any cost to patients for the infrastructure development.

The ration items have been finalized by the Govt. to ensure correct nutrition is delivered to patients to support their recovery.

Through a sister trust – Nashik Anna Seva Samiti – ready to eat food packets are distributed to relatives of patients admitted in Nashik civil hospital. Majority of these people are from tribal areas and/ or small hamlets from Nashik, Ahmednagar, Aurangabad and other districts and have no access to proper meals or the resources to buy them. 100+ food packets with 2 packed meals are distributed every day by volunteers. This activity is being conducted non-stop for more than 17 years as on date.

The trust also gives out rent-free medical rehabilitation items like medical beds, walkers, crutches, wheelchairs, oxygen concentrators etc. to needy patients. The trust also has 3 refrigerated body boxes which are given out free of charge to families having to wait before conducting last rites.
