What we do
We are a charitable, non-profit trust providing free of cost dialysis procedures and highly subsidized consumables to underprivileged kidney failure patients.
Current Operations
The centre was established with a vision to provided top quality healthcare to the underprivileged and hence, no compromises are made in any aspect of the dialysis procedures. With the ever increasing incidence of kidney disease and failure, the need was felt for expansion and the centre has continued to add equipment as required and as per availability of funds.
Today, the centre has grown to become one of the largest of its’ kind in Maharashtra with 22 dialysis machines and complete support equipment.
Since, the financial condition of dialysis patients worsens over time due to continued medical expenses, quite a few of the patients find it difficult to bear even the INR 400 charge. To reduce this burden on the patients, the trust has waived off this charge for majority of the patients. Payment is accepted only from those who are willing to pay. Charges for lab testing, life-saving injections have also been waived off and are provided free of any charge to all patients. A breakup of the monthly operational expenses is detailed below for easy reference.

Suitable candidates from underprivileged background are selected for this training which is provided free to young and deserving students.
Issues Faced
- The centre is on the 1st floor of the building and there is no space to install an elevator. This is a major inconvenience to the patients who have to be carried upstairs.
- Due to non-availability of the building completion certificate, the centre cannot enroll for govt support schemes like Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana. The cost of operations thus is completely dependent on donations from private individuals and small local companies.
- The centre has grown from 4 machines to 22 machines while the area available is limited. There is no dedicated space available for a waiting room/ cafeteria for staff and patients’ relatives.
- The vocational training classroom has also been built in a covered space on the terrace due to paucity of space. Due to lack of a proper space, the vocational training cannot be expanded to add more courses and/ or students.
- Lastly, there is no scope for future expansion of the dialysis facility, pathology lab, OPD etc. or for additional facilities like an ICU and for emergency procedures.
